Kings vs. Ducks Fantasy Hockey Intrigue
Tonight brings the fantasy hockey community a Southern California rivalry match. Both 0-2, both looking for that first point. First, we have the Kings. Young, talented, no defense. Then we have the Ducks, young, talented and have the D to take them far in the playoffs. In case you haven’t heard, Jack Johnson is gone for up to 4 months with a shoulder injury and with an already dreadfully bad remaining five on the blue line, the Kings are in TROUBLE. Tonight has the potential to have some fights and scoring from two teams that need a victory. The Kings usually put up a good fight against the superior Ducks and tonight’s game should be no different. Look for Anze Kopitar to get on the score sheet for the first time this year and look for Teemu Selanne to add 1-2 points w/ a PPP in there. Getzlaf, off to to a slow start, minus the 7 minutes in PIMs he took on Sunday, is looking to add himself to the scoresheet as well. All you fantasy hockey geeks listen up, Getzlaf and Selanne will produce tonight, as will Anze Kopitar for the Kings. Silent but deadly tonight is Mr. Rachael Hunter (Jaret Stoll). He’s gripping right now and needs to do something, before he becomes the next Ladislov Nagy. Ducks win tonight 4-2. In game commentary coming shortly
UPDATE: Scrappy lines are scoring for both the Ducks and Kings. Also two scraps have already occured, one between George Parros and Raitis Ivanans, the other between veteran Brad May and Matt Greene. 2-1 Ducks in a fast-paced first period.
UPDATE: Stoll PPG tonight, at least one piece of vindication on my predictions…
