Free Fantasy Hockey: Tonights NHL Games & Commentary
Here’s today’s Free Fantasy Hockey prediction courtesy of Puck Blogging.com. We’ve been on of late, and tonight we look to extend our luck once again, before we come crashing down like any Oliver Stone movie. NHL Fantasy Hockey has a few match-ups tonight worth keeping an eye on. First we have the Sharks vs. Flyers. Philly has yet to win a game this year and the Sharks lead the Western Conference. Biron has been footballs equivalent to Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks, owning a GAA of 5.75 and being bad—-really bad. Insomuch as to prompt Philly to start Antero Niittymaki (not good). The Sharks are nails from head to toe and Joe Thornton has been average thus far, meaning they are only going to be better. I know this is not too bold of a prediction, but look for Super Joe to tally 1-2 powerplay points tonight. Surprisingly, Joe only has a lone powerplay assist this year and is due to explode like a pimple on a face of a pubesic teen. On the Flyers end, look for Mike Richards to step it up tonight against the West’s leaders. This is what great captains do, they step their game up for games like this and with the Flyers gripping for their first victory, look for Richards to stir the pot. If not Richards, then look for Riley Cote to have a go with Jody Shelley for round two. If the Flyers will break through Nabokov, Mike Richards is the guy. Tonight the Sharks will be victorious and look for the score to be 5-2. Don’t bet on it, it’s only a prediction but the Flyers haven’t beat the Sharks going on over 7 years.
Next, look at the game between Dallas & Jersey. Two teams with limited scoring capabilities. 10 goals in five games for the Devils. Yes, not a type, 10 goals. Thank the powers that be for Marty Brodeur. Dallas has scored only 18 goals, but has allowed 24 giving them the 2nd spot among goals allowed by teams in the Western Conference. On paper, this game looks like a goalie match-up and low-scoring affair, which is how we see it. Daily NHL fantasy hockey managers start Brodeur and Turco with confidence, they won’t disappoint. Also, perennial agitator Sean Avery is back to greet Broduer after being reprimanded in the playoffs for waving his good hand (and stick) in the face of Marty during a powerplay, prompting the greatest goalie ever to snub Avery during the series-ending handshake. Look for Avery to pick-up the PIM’s tonight, maybe even a misconduct.
